Whoa, thank y’all for joining us today for our Digital Country Fair Quest 🤠 We are so excited you have decided to join in the fun!! 📣
There are a total of 6 challenges.
Simply click on each challenge, complete it and then share your work with us to WIN, WIN, WIN prizes. If you send your work to us at hello@gdostem.com.au you’ll be entered into the draws to win prizes!!
As you progress through all six challenges, they will stretch you. You can do them individually, with your family, with a buddy, as a team or with your school or club.
There are prizes, prizes and more prizes!
So how do the prize draws work? Each challenge has its own prize draw. If you finish a particular challenge and share it with us, then you are in the draw to win a prize for that challenge.
AND, if you complete and submit ALL 6 of the challenges, you are automatically entered into the draw for the event Grand Prize: an iPad 10, 64 GB with Wifi and Cellular in Pink from our wonderful partners at Telstra! (Please note that the iPad does not come with an included data plan, pre-paid plan or sim card.)

But before we get started on our work, let’s revisit the technology that we learnt from Natalie’s Google lesson - the demo on Cloud Vision API. You can review how machine learning recognises and analyses what you see in a photo. You will need to watch her lesson to understand this.
So, take a snap of your favourite pet or if you already have your photo, let’s use that for the Vision AI demo. You will need to type into your browser the following: cloud.google.com/vision: Vision AI | Cloud Vision API | Google Cloud. Remember you need to tell the API you are not a robot. And you don’t have to code😊
Now,scroll down to the demo section and then drop in or upload your photo and let the machine learning tool analyse your pet! What was the outcome from the API? What did it tell you about your pet’s photo - objects, labels, text, properties, safe search.
Based on the API do you think your pet will make it as the Best in Show?

Share your screenshot or photo with us with your parent/guardian’s permission. Your pet might just make it to the Best in Show on our socials.
Send us an email with the SUBJECT LINE Challenge#1 to hello@gdostem.com.au All completed entries must be submitted by the closing of the event (March 12th at 5pm AEST Queensland time) to be in the draw.
A completed entry is:
1. Tell us what the API told you about your pet.
2. Send us the screenshot or photo of your pet.
