Metaverse innovations powering future industries

  • TAFE Queensland is excited to offer three FREE online micro-credentials to high school students in Queensland to become metaverse-ready and well-prepared for digital futures. These microcredentials have been developed in collaboration with industry.

    With the advent of gaming, innovations in interactive technologies and the desire to connect to a universe where people can operate and connect in an alternative way other than the real world.

    The metaverse allows us to be who we want to be so is also a great alternative to how you may wish to learn or operate into the future. It provides a unique space and opportunity to be as creative.

Industry insider tips & points of interest

  • Health care for the elderly can use metaverses to help their patients feel more comfortable or to provide an environment that might bring back memories of their past childhood. This helps patients with dementia and others who suffer from other ailments like depression.

    Large corporations use a unique metaverse for hosting their events, meetings and training, and showcasing their business. The metaverse can also be used to collaborate in designing a new building and conducting a site inspection.

Earning micro-credential badges through 3 free TAFE courses

You can enroll in just one or all 3 micro-credential (MC) courses. Course duration for MC1 and MC2 is 2 hours per course. It only takes 1 hour to complete MC3, which provide you an overview of how you can create your own metaverse using Unity.
